Rules & Schedule Changes
Gameplay Regulations
Discipline defines the game.
- Matches begin strictly per the finalised schedule.
- Late arrival beyond the stipulated time may lead to a reduction in overs or forfeiture of the match.
- Umpire decisions are final and binding. Arguments or appeals beyond reasonable questioning attract penalties.
- Only registered players from approved squads may take the field.
- Teams must follow the playing conditions, overs format and ground rules announced before the tournament begins.
- Protective gear is recommended, and may be enforced depending on ground conditions.
- Individual season awards (Most Valuable Player, Orange Cap, Purple Cap and Best Fielder) are decided on group stage statistics only. Knockout matches do not count towards them, so every player is judged over the same number of games.
Conduct & Sportsmanship
Zero tolerance, applied evenly.
- Respect on and off the field, towards opponents, umpires, organisers and spectators at all times.
- Verbal abuse, physical aggression, sledging or any unsporting act will not be tolerated.
- Alcohol, tobacco and intoxicants are strictly prohibited before and during matches.
- Any attempt to manipulate results, forge documents or breach the rules is misconduct, and results in immediate disqualification.
- Captains are accountable for their team's behaviour and discipline throughout the tournament.
Disciplinary Framework
- Umpires and match referees may issue verbal warnings, penalty runs or player suspensions for misconduct.
- Serious violations, such as aggression, threats or deliberate misconduct, lead to match bans or expulsion from the tournament.
- The LCCL Disciplinary Committee may impose penalties, fines or suspensions as it considers necessary.
- All rulings by the organising body are final and non-contestable.
Assumption of Risk
Cricket is a physical sport and participation is voluntary.
- Players acknowledge the inherent risks, including personal injury, dehydration, heat exhaustion and other health-related issues.
- Participation is at the player's own risk.
- The organising committee, Mavex Sports, venue authorities, sponsors and affiliates are not liable for injury, illness, accident or loss, including property damage or theft, arising during or in connection with the tournament.
Health & Medical
- Every player affirms they are medically fit and have disclosed any relevant health conditions before participating.
- Organisers are not responsible for medical conditions, exacerbations or adverse health events occurring before, during or after matches.
- First aid and basic medical assistance are available at the venues for immediate response only. They are not a substitute for professional medical care.
- In a medical emergency the organisers may facilitate transport or aid, but the related costs and liabilities remain with the player and their team.
- Players with known medical conditions must carry their own medication and inform their captain of any risk factors.
Equipment & Property
- Players are responsible for the safety and maintenance of their own sporting equipment, valuables and belongings.
- Organisers are not responsible for damage, loss or theft of personal items within the venue premises.
Rules & Schedule Changes
The organising committee reserves the right to:
- Modify tournament rules or formats in response to unforeseen situations such as weather, ground availability or administrative directives.
- Reschedule, relocate or cancel matches at its discretion, without prior notice.
- Adjust fixtures, groups or match structures to maintain fairness and logistical balance.
- Such decisions are final and binding on all participants and teams.
Fees & Refunds
- The participation fee is ₹21,000 per team, including a non-refundable ₹1,000 processing fee.
- A slot can be blocked with 50% of the fee plus the processing fee; the balance is due at least one week before the tournament starts.
- A rejected application is refunded minus the processing fee.
- Once the schedule is finalised, no amount is returned.
- Teams disqualified after the tournament starts for non-compliance with the rules are not refunded.
- Registration and participation fees are otherwise non-refundable, except where the tournament is cancelled by the organising body before it commences. No compensation applies to matches cancelled for weather or operational reasons.
Use of Media, Images & Branding
This is how LCCL is able to publish match photography and highlights.
- By participating, players, teams and participating organisations grant Mavex Sports and its authorised partners the right to capture and use photographs, videos, match footage and related digital content for promotion, marketing and documentation, without additional consent or compensation.
- Teams and participating organisations permit the organisers to use their names, logos and brand identities across event communications, sponsorship materials and media campaigns associated with LCCL, without prior approval.
- All LCCL names, logos and brand marks are the exclusive property of Mavex Sports and may not be used or reproduced without written authorisation.
Sponsors & Partners
- Sponsors, vendors and partners engaging with the event do so under separate written agreements, and cannot claim compensation outside those agreed terms.
Disputes & Jurisdiction
- Any dispute arising out of participation, conduct or the interpretation of these terms is first referred to the LCCL Disciplinary Committee for internal resolution.
- If unresolved, the matter falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lucknow, under applicable Indian laws.
- No claim or compensation is entertained for tournament decisions made in good faith by the organising body.
Not sure how a rule applies to your team?
Participation in LCCL implies full acceptance of these terms. Ask before you enter, not after. Raise it at the Captain's Meet, or write to us.
