Season 11 Questions, Answered
What's the difference between the LCCL Trophy and the Champions League Trophy?
The LCCL Trophy is the flagship championship for pure corporate teams, and every player must belong to the same organisation. The Champions League Trophy is new this season: an open league for mixed teams with players from more than one company.
How do I register a team for Season 11?
Registration opens on 10 September 2026 and closes on the 30th. Submit an inquiry by 9 September 2026 and you get a ₹1,000 first-mover discount on the entry fee, plus first claim on your slot. Returning teams are prioritised either way. Once registration opens, your captain receives the registration link and tournament packet on WhatsApp and email.
What's the match format for Season 11?
15 overs per side, 11 players on the field from a 15-member squad, soft tennis ball (Sixit, ~80g, new ball each innings), 90-minute matches at the group stage. Group stage into knockouts, professional umpires, live CricHeroes scoring. Points: win 2, tie or no result 1, loss 0. Teams are ranked on points, then net run rate, then head-to-head.
How are the individual awards decided?
Most Valuable Player, Orange Cap, Purple Cap and Best Fielder are decided on group stage statistics only. Knockout matches do not count towards them. Every team plays the same number of group games, so every player is judged over the same sample and has an equal claim on these awards, however far their team goes. Player of the Match, Best Batsman and Best Bowler trophies are still awarded in every match, knockouts included.
When are matches played?
Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays only, so the season works around the corporate week. The full schedule is shared before the tournament starts and confirmed at the Captain's Meet, where every team captain reviews the format, group division and fixtures before they are finalised.
What is the Season 11 registration fee, and what does it cover?
₹21,000 per team, which includes a non-refundable ₹1,000 processing fee. That covers proper cricket grounds, qualified umpires, scorers and match-day staff, live CricHeroes scoring, match photography, team intros and the award presentations after every match. Teams provide their own jerseys (top and bottom, with player name and number) and appropriate footwear.
Can we hold a slot before paying in full?
Yes. A slot can be blocked with 50% of the registration fee plus the processing fee. The balance must reach us at least one week before the tournament starts.
Who is eligible to play?
Players must be 25 or older, permanent residents of Lucknow or Barabanki, and actively employed professionals at the time of registration. Employment proof is mandatory. Competitive background is capped to keep the league corporate: state-level board players only if inactive for 10 years, A-division for 5 years, B-division for 3 years, no restriction on C and D division. Advocates, police and security personnel, proprietorship firms, freelancers, contractors, suppliers and vendors of an organisation are not considered.
What documents do we need to submit?
For each player: two age proofs (high school marksheet, PAN card or passport, where the date of birth must match), two residence proofs, and employment verification (company ID plus recent salary slips, an HR letter, or a bank statement showing salary credits). Players aged 50 and above also need a medical fitness certificate from a registered practitioner. Captains submit the full roster with proofs before the deadline; once the roster is approved, no additions or replacements are permitted except for a medically verified injury.
What happens if our application is rejected, or we withdraw?
A rejected application is refunded minus the ₹1,000 processing fee. Once the schedule is finalised no amount is returned, and teams disqualified after the tournament starts for breaching the rules are not refunded.
When is the Season 11 registration deadline?
September 30, 2026, with the season starting 1 November 2026. Returning teams have first claim on their slots, so registering early is recommended.
