Privacy Policy

How Mavex Sports (OPC) Private Limited collects, uses and protects personal data on lccl.in, written to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

In effect from 16 October 2026

01

Who we are

The Lucknow Corporate Cricket League is organised by Mavex Sports (OPC) Private Limited. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, that company is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, and it decides why and how that data is used.

  • Contact for any privacy question: info@lccl.in.
  • Grievance Officer: Sheetanshu Tripathi. Write to info@lccl.in or call +91 99845 75784.
  • This policy covers the website lccl.in, the team registration form and squad sheet, and the enquiry forms linked from it. It does not cover any other website you reach by following a link from here.
  • In effect from 16 October 2026. If we change it, the new date appears at the top of this page.
02

What we collect, and when

We collect personal data in exactly four situations. Reading these pages is not one of them beyond the analytics described below.

  • When you submit an enquiry form: your name, your company or team name, your email address, your phone number, and whatever else that form asks. You choose what to type; nothing is taken automatically.
  • When you register a team: in the registration form, your team, organisation and contact details and your payment reference (the amount, date and transaction number, never a card number, bank login or UPI PIN). Then, in a squad sheet and folder we share with your team, each player's name, phone, date of birth, employer, cricket background and photo, two age proofs, two residence proofs and employment proof, which may be a salary slip or bank statement, and for players aged 50 or over a medical fitness certificate.
  • When you email or message us: your email address or phone number, and the content of your message, kept so we can reply and keep a record of what was agreed.
  • When you browse with analytics enabled: a randomly generated visitor identifier, the pages you open, the buttons you click, your approximate city, and your device and browser type. Google truncates your IP address before it is stored, and we never see the full one.
  • Photographs and video from match days show players and spectators, and a photograph of an identifiable person is personal data. The basis for publishing it is the Terms of Participation each team accepts on entry.
  • Team registration is the only place we collect financial or health information: a payment reference, an employment proof that may show salary, and a medical certificate for players aged 50 or over. We use these only to check eligibility and match payments. We never collect passwords, card numbers, bank logins or biometrics, and there is no account to create on this site.
03

Why we use it

Each purpose below is the whole reason the data exists. We do not repurpose it later for something you did not agree to.

  • To answer your enquiry, tell you what registration involves, and take your team through entry if you decide to join.
  • To check that every registered player meets the eligibility rules on age, residence and employment, and to match registration payments to teams.
  • To discuss sponsorship where you have approached us about it.
  • To run the league: fixtures, scoring, results and the Hall of Fame.
  • To understand which pages and buttons people actually use, so the site can be improved. This is the only reason we use analytics, and it runs only if you accept it.
  • We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run behavioural advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
05

Who else sees it

We use a small number of outside services to run this site. Each one is named here, with what it receives and why.

  • Google Forms hosts the registration form and the sponsorship enquiry form, and Google Drive holds each team's squad sheet and player documents, in a folder shared only with the Google account the team gives us. None of it passes through this website, and this website never stores it.
  • Google Analytics 4 measures how the site is used, and only after you accept analytics cookies. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are switched off, so this data is not used to target ads at you.
  • Hostinger hosts the website. Its servers keep standard access logs, including IP addresses, which exist for security and troubleshooting.
  • YouTube serves the videos on the Media page, through youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set tracking cookies unless you press play.
  • CricHeroes publishes live scoring and match records. Following a link there takes you to their platform, under their privacy policy.
  • Some of these providers process data outside India. Where they do, that transfer is permitted under section 16 of the DPDP Act, which allows transfer to any country the Central Government has not restricted.
  • We will also disclose personal data where a law, a court or a lawful government request requires it.
06

How long we keep it

The DPDP Act requires us to erase personal data once the purpose it was collected for is finished. These are the periods we work to.

  • Enquiries that do not become entries: kept for the season they relate to and the one after it, then deleted.
  • Player documents (age, residence and employment proofs, photos and medical certificates): deleted within 30 days for a team that is not accepted or withdraws, and 12 months after the season ends for a team that plays. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
  • Teams that do enter: kept for as long as we run the league, because fixtures, results and the Hall of Fame are a permanent public record of the competition.
  • Email and WhatsApp threads: kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period after, so there is a record of what was agreed.
  • Analytics: retained by Google for 14 months from your last visit, then deleted automatically.
  • Match photography and video: published as an ongoing archive of the league. Ask us and we will take down a photograph of you.
07

Your rights

Chapter III of the DPDP Act gives you these rights over your own data. Ask by email and we will act on it — there is no form to fill in.

  • Access: ask what personal data of yours we hold, what we did with it, and who we shared it with.
  • Correction and completion: have anything wrong put right, and anything incomplete filled in.
  • Erasure: have your personal data deleted, unless a law requires us to keep it.
  • Grievance redressal: complain to us first. We will respond within 30 days.
  • Nomination: name someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated.
  • If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. Complaining to us first is a precondition, so please start with us.
  • The Act also places a duty on you: do not impersonate someone else when making a request, and do not file a false or frivolous complaint.
08

Keeping it safe

Section 8(5) of the DPDP Act requires reasonable security safeguards. These are ours, stated plainly rather than as reassurance.

  • The site is served over HTTPS, so what you send is encrypted in transit.
  • Registration and enquiry data sit in our Google account, protected by Google security and by two-factor authentication on that account.
  • The website has one administrator account, protected by two-factor authentication. Public registration is disabled.
  • Access to registration and enquiry data is limited to the people organising the league who need it.
  • No safeguard is absolute. If a breach happens that affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the Act requires.

Questions about any of this, or want to exercise a right? Write to us and say so plainly — a sentence is enough.
